Getting ready to go to her doctor's appointment this afternoon. She weighed in at a hefty 8 pounds 3 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long! Go Baby Mak!
The "accidental" newborn smile...still wayyyy cute!
Sam thinking, "The TV will be mine as soon as you turn your back, lady!"
I had to show off the outfit on Makenna that ATC chose for her before she was born. I put it on her when we were at the hospital and the pants kept falling off of her! She is in the delightfully average range on the growth charts. Makes me feel like I am doing something right! I have an exciting story to tell...to me anyway ;-) I have been hoping to find a nice little dress for Makenna to wear to be blessed in next month at church. I didn't want anything frothy or lacey, just nice and simple so she will be comfortable. I've been talking about it for a couple of months and was going to head to JC Penney today. My mom said, "I have the dress you were blessed in in a box somewhere." I looked at her in shock because I thought it had disappeared long ago. I asked her if she'd look for it in the next few days...well...she found it this morning! She even washed and pressed it for me. Writing about it makes me get all foggy eyed (NO it's not the PPD!) because it is a vision of the dress I wanted to get for Makenna. It is in excellent shape so she is going to wear it when she gets blessed. It's a 41 year old dress, so I hope one day she will appreciate it. When I dress her in it, I will take some pictures. Packed with the dress was a pair of my baby shoes and my spoon. Pretty cool! Thanks, Mom, for somehow realizing how important these items would be to me and your posterity.

So, we will be blessing Makenna the first Sunday of March.
As far as the post-partum depression, I am still a bit shaky. I am hoping that when I get this blood pressure under control it will go away. I slept better last night and I know that helped. I've just got to keep plowing forward and get it under control.

I think she looks just like her grandmother Eloisa (Lopez) Camarena in the first two pictures.
Actually, she has a bit of everyone in the Camarena family...
