Yes, these are Helaman's back paws. They remind me of bunny feet. He was passed out on the window sill this afternoon and I couldn't resist snapping a shot. He is such a spunky addition to our family. The kids are fascinated with him, he's fascinated with Ziggy, and Ziggy just wants him to LEAVE.
When Makenna woke up this afternoon from her nap, Helaman was asleep in the rocker. She was making a beeline for the kitchen for her cup until she saw poor, sleepy, unprotected Helaman. Mak got right into the chair with him and Helaman immediately began to purr. It was his happy purr! Mak stroked him happily, checked out his tail and gave him "mwahs" (Camarena baby-speak for a kiss!).
A sidenote, we took him to the vet for shots and made plans to get him "snipped" this past week. He weighed in at a respectable 3.9 pounds. Not bad for a feral little guy who has bonded very well with his human folk!
I love to watch Mak get to "know" the kitten. Babies are so tactile. Helaman's not so different.
He's just a lot furrier and I son't have to change his diaper!

...just scoop his litter box. :P
James couldn't decide if the video of Mak was cooler than Dora. He tried to watch both. He is obsessed with the TV. BY the way she is cute.
